Labor Day Weekend is almost here, and our members at The Ford are gearing up for a weekend full of family fun. An abundance of holiday weekend activities awaits our members, right here at The Ford, like swimming with the kids at the pool or joining in on a community barbecue. Nearby Savannah is also a convenient option for a quick day trip to see live music or outdoor movie screenings. This Labor Day, there’s no shortage of things to do at Georgia’s premier sporting club community in the coastal Lowcountry.

Labor Day at The Ford’s Lake Dye Grill

Winding down the summer with neighbors, friends and family is a favorite activity among members. At The Ford, the sense of community abounds through gatherings created for the entire family to enjoy. Monthly events like this one are the perfect example of the amenities and members-only social opportunities our families love about living at The Ford.

This year, members of The Ford will celebrate the long weekend with an exclusive pool party, DJ and delicious lunch buffet. With music and good company, there’s not much more to ask for!

Annual Labor Day Fireworks Show at Fish Tales

In the mood for fireworks? Head to Fish Tales! On Sunday, September 4, the annual fireworks show returns for a spectacular night everyone will enjoy. Head out by boat from The Ford and then catch this stunning show from the water in the Marina.

A quick visit by boat from The Ford, Fish Tales is one of our members’ most loved restaurants along the Ogeechee River. The fireworks show starts just after dark, so be sure to head in the direction of Fish Tales before sundown.

Farewell to Summer Labor Day Weekend Celebration

Not ready to wave goodbye to summer yet? Bring the entire family to live it up at the Plant Riverside District from Friday to Monday. Live music, kids activities, riverfront performances by Cirque Divina and an outdoor screening of Grease are just a few of the fun festivities planned for the event.

Don’t miss the Savannah Ghost Pirates — the Hostess City’s newest hockey team — when they come out to provide free arts and crafts activities for kids of all ages in Montgomery Park. A quick 30-minute drive away, the Plant Riverside District is within easy reach of The Ford.
