Set amidst towering live oaks and lush pastures near The Ford’s main entrance, the picturesque Equestrian Center is a full-service boarding facility set across seven acres.
The Equestrian Center comprises a 22-stall barn, two air conditioned tack rooms, a members’ lounge, more than 22 acres of paddocks plus access to full veterinary services. It also boasts an outdoor poly-fiber sand-mixed arena, three wash bays, a jumping field, laundry facility, 24-hour video surveillance plus a night watchman.
Riders can set out in guided groups or solo to explore The Ford’s 12 miles of interconnected bridle trails, which lace under groves of century-old oaks and along lakes and riverfront.
Whether a lifelong rider or saddling up for the first time, The Ford’s state-of-the-art Equestrian Center and seasoned instructors cater to all skill levels. Lessons, clinics and group and private trail rides are all available to members. The Ford’s instructors, equipment and facilities also accommodate many styles of riding, including dressage, hunters, jumpers and Western.
In addition to hosting popular on-site events—like the annual Wild West Party with professional ropers and a bluegrass band—The Ford’s active equestrian community often ventures off-site for rides, nearby horse shows and competitions.
