Reminiscent of Savannah’s historic neighborhoods built around a communal square as the epicenter of the small commonwealth, McAllister Point offers a peaceful common space surrounded by shade-giving live oaks and magnolias.
Inspiration also comes from farther north. The homes on the point emulate the iconic Charleston two-story side porch style and overlook a quaint side yard. Arranged perpendicular to the road, the stately homes face inward, creating a charming urban living space rooted in traditional values.
Like Savannah and Charleston, McAllister Point luxuriates in epic land and waterscapes, but in a far more private setting. In fact, the neighborhood design intentionally offers all residents unobstructed views of a protected rice basin, bird-nesting sanctuary, and the Ogeechee River. The vantage point differs window by window, creating unique glimpses across the Plantation and its bounty of natural beauty. Here, residents enjoy the best parts of traditional Southern living, from architecture and design to native plants and wildlife, but do so free from the bustle of the city. The romantic 18th-century plantation on which it all exists is both a sanctuary for members and wildlife.
