Celebrate the Luck of the Irish at Savannah’s World-Famous St. Patrick’s Day Parade

After a two-year hiatus, Savannah is welcoming back one of its greatest and most anticipated traditions: The St. Patrick’s Day Parade. One of the largest of its kind in America, the parade is jam-packed with music, dancing, elaborate floats and, of course, lots of green. And lucky for us at The Ford Field & River Club (pun intended), we’re just a quick 30-minute drive from downtown Savannah where all the exciting festivities will take place. Explore this year’s events below and get ready for the jig of a lifetime.

Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist

March 17, 2022 — 8 a.m. 

Savannah’s St. Patrick’s Day festivities will begin with a traditional Mass at the spectacular Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist. Service begins right at 8 a.m., so make sure you’re there beforehand to grab a seat. The parade will kick off shortly after in front of the church steps on Abercorn Street. 

 

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade

March 17, 2022 — 10:15 a.m.

This year’s parade will kick off around 10:15 a.m. at the intersection of Abercorn and Gwinnett Streets and end at Bull and Liberty. The route winds through much of the Historic District, featuring marching bands, service members, and incredible entertainment.Be sure to arrive early and stay for the day!

March 16-20

Savannah’s Plant Riverside District is hosting an outstanding, five-day St. Patrick’s Day event along the riverfront with live music on two separate stages, Irish dance performances, mini golf, family-friendly activities and so much more. Check out the full schedule here.
