1. 2024 Ford Scotland Golf Trip | September 22-28
Join us for the golf journey of a lifetime with our exclusive Scotland Golf Trip. This carefully planned 7-day/6-night adventure takes you to the heart of golf’s birthplace, featuring rounds at six exceptional courses, including four that grace Golf Digest’s prestigious Top 100 list. The highlight of the trip is a round at the world-renowned Royal Dornoch, ranked #2 globally.

3. Hunt For Big Red! | October 1-31
Calling all anglers! October brings the return of one of The Ford’s most anticipated fishing events – the Hunt for Big Red. This month-long tournament showcases the incredible bull redfish fishery along the Georgia coast, offering members the chance to reel in these impressive fighters weighing between 20 and 50 pounds. Teams of up to four compete over two days of their choosing to catch and release the most bull redfish over 30 inches in length. It’s a true test of skill and strategy, and sometimes, a bit of luck. The tournament’s catch-and-release format ensures the sustainability of this magnificent species while providing an unforgettable experience for participants.
4. Sunset Kayaking | October 3
Experience the magic of a Lowcountry sunset from a new vantage point with our Sunset Kayaking event. As the day winds down, join our naturalist for a serene paddle through the tranquil waters of Lake Clara. As you glide across the water, witness the sky transform into lively oranges, pinks and purples. There’s no better way to celebrate the arrival of oyster season than with The Ford’s legendary Homecoming Oyster Roast. This beloved tradition brings together generations of Ford families for an evening of fantastic food and live music. Our culinary team pulls out all the stops, featuring freshly harvested local oysters and succulent Lowcountry shrimp alongside a bountiful buffet of Southern favorites. Kids can decorate their own pumpkins with our craft supplies and guidance, and our friendly ponies will be available for meet-and-greets, photos and short rides. Refreshments will be served, including seasonal treats like apple cider and pumpkin cookies. This event offers a great opportunity for children to interact with gentle animals and learn about equestrian life at The Ford. This festive mix of ponies and pumpkins offers perfect photo opportunities for the whole family.
8. Halloween Trick or Treat | October 31
Join us for a spooky evening as The Ford becomes a Halloween haven. Our event begins at The Clubhouse with Trunk or Treat, where members can deck out their vehicles and distribute candy in a safe setting. We’ll have treats for kids and themed cocktails for adults. As darkness descends, families can stroll from The Clubhouse to the Marina, visiting participating homes along the way. Don’t live on the route?
