A Celebration of Gratitude:
Thanksgiving at The Ford Field & River Club

Published on

As the holiday season unfolds, The Ford Field & River Club embraces the spirit of gratitude amidst the storied landscapes of Georgia’s Lowcountry. Whether sharing cozy evenings by the fire with neighbors or strolling along the majestic Ogeechee River, The Ford’s offerings are an everlasting source of joy year-round. As Thanksgiving approaches, we’re reminded to reflect on the moments and people that matter most.

This time of year is a celebration of togetherness, and there’s no better way to come together than over a home-cooked meal. For our members, that means a traditional Thanksgiving Day feast with carving stations and all the fixings at the Clubhouse. The day after, we invite members and their guests to join us for a special new tradition around the Main House’s Reflecting Pool — The Ford’s inaugural Thanksgiving Lowcountry Boil, with Chef Young and the Ford Team preparing a classic Lowcountry celebration, enjoyed alongside fried chicken, seasonal selections, a full bar and music.

But Thanksgiving is more than a singular day for us, as we look to ensure that every day at The Ford is one worth cherishing, enhanced by shared experiences and activities. Throughout the month, we’ll be hosting our Thanksgiving Pickleball Tournament, Thanksgiving Nature Scavenger Hunt and Turkey Trot 5k, inviting members to engage in friendly competition while exploring our sprawling landscape of salt marsh grass, lakes and century-old live oaks. We also look forward to hosting our New Member Meet & Mingle, where new members can begin to form lasting bonds.

Our gratitude extends deep into the shared memories among families, friends and neighbors at The Ford. If you’d like to experience this extraordinary Ford lifestyle, Schedule a Discovery Visit today
