6 Savannah Events to Check Out in February

A quick 30-minute drive north of The Ford Field & River Club is Savannah, one of the South’s most exciting cities where rich history meets stylish urbanity. From award-winning restaurants to independent boutiques to contemporary art museums, there’s no shortage of things to see and do in this true peach of a place. Savannah Black Heritage Festival

February 1-20 | Virtual

Starting February 1, the Savannah Black Heritage Festival (which is all virtual and free to the public this year) celebrates the culture, music, cuisine and history of Black heritage with special appearances and performances throughout the month. Check out the events schedule here.

 

Super Museum Sunday

February 6

The Georgia History Festival is back with everyone’s favorite Super Museum Sunday on February 6. Gain free admission to more than 100 sites in Savannah, both in-person and online, and explore the state’s rich history via house museums, art museums, historic landmarks and more.

 

The Love Chocolate Half & 10K

February 12 

This half marathon and 10K race is all about earning your chocolate. On Saturday, February 12, challenge yourself to a fun run with plenty of treats—think hot chocolate and fondue—from packet pick-up to the finish line. Beyond the sweet incentives, this run follows a scenic route. Sign up here.

 

Savannah Book Festival

February 17-20 | Telfair Square

This President’s Day Weekend, head to historic downtown to listen, learn and engage with world-renowned authors from across the country at the Savannah Book Festival. This year, you can expect big names like Gabriela Garcia, Laura Dave, Miranda Cowley Heller and so many more.

 

American Traditions Vocal Competition

February 21-25 

Every February, talented singers from around the nation make their way to Savannah for the chance to win more than $35,000 in cash prizes and a solo performance with the Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra. The American Traditions Vocal Competition takes place over four days, offering residents and visitors the opportunity to listen in and be amazed. 

 

Cars on the Coast

February 26 | Savannah Convention Center
